Wearable armour
A series of wearable objects in the form of masks, collars, shields and ruffs - Part of experiential research methodology and speculative experiments in embodied empathy for Welcome to WOOD.LAND.
The speculation for sheer face and head masks sculpted in organza allows clear vision while obscuring the expression and identity of the wearer from the public gaze in the woods.
Vegetable tanned leather offcuts are wet sculpted and fired at high temperatures and hardened as pieces of everyday ‘armour’.
